Who Should Attend

The Institute is designed for educators and leaders involved in Reading Recovery®, Literacy Lessons™, and Literacy Processing Specialist programs, including:

  • Trained and in-training teachers
  • Teacher leaders and trainers
  • Superintendents, principals, and school board members

The Institute offers an  in-depth study of issues related to Reading Recovery, Literacy Lessons, and Literacy Processing Specialist teaching and training.

We’re excited to welcome classroom teachers and interventionists to join us!
Sessions will include practical strategies for classroom literacy instruction and effective small group teaching.


Attendance Requirement

Teachers involved in Reading Recovery®, Literacy Lessons™, and Literacy Processing Specialist programs are required to attend both days of the Institute.


Keynote Speakers

We’re thrilled to feature two nationally recognized experts in literacy education:

Thursday Keynote: Jan Richardson
A renowned literacy consultant and author, Jan is known for her influential work on guided reading and instructional practices that accelerate student learning.

Friday Keynote: Dr. Nancy Anderson
Professor at Texas Woman’s University, Dr. Anderson works extensively in school settings, bridging research and theory to promote effective teaching practices with leaders and teachers.
