- During the 2007-2008 school year, 4,193 students were taught by 508 Reading Recovery® teachers (41 of whom were in-training) at 360 schools in 108 districts.
- When they were not teaching Reading Recovery, these educators also taught 30,160 additional students in their other half-day roles as classroom, special education, Title One/reading, or ELL/bilingual teachers, or staff developers.
- Reading Recovery teachers received professional development from 25 teacher leaders who themselves received professional development from Reading Recovery faculty at the Reading Recovery Center of Michigan at Oakland University.
- Since its establishment in 1991, Reading Recovery has served almost 87,500 first graders and has trained almost 1,050 teachers (Lose, M.K., in press).
